CITY OF PARK RIDGE POLICE PENSION FUND

QUARTERLY MEETING APRIL 24, 2007

President Kappler called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM. A roll call of the trustees was taken: Trustees Laura Kappler, Jon Moehrlin, Richard Paul, Carl Brauweiler, and Tom Ahibeck were present. Also in attendance was Mary Tomanek from Smith Barney and board attorney Charles Atwell. 

Before the meeting, the ballots for Laura Kappler’s seat on the board were tallied by Trustee Richard (Dick) Paul and Detective Gene Ware with all board members present. 

A motion was made to accept the minutes from January 23, 2007 with one correction by Trustee Brauweiler and was seconded by Paul. All were in favor- motion passed. 

Mary Tomanek presented the financial investment report. A motion was made by Dick Paul to allow Cambiar and Madison to reinvest money due to security restrictions to comply with the Illinois Pension Code and to have Alliance move excess money into and ETF. Tom Ahibeck seconded. All were in favor— motion passed. 

A motion was made by Dick Paul to approve the investment report. Tom Ahibeck seconded. All were in favor- motion passed. 

A motion was made by Jon Moehrlin and seconded by Dick Paul to accept the following results of the election. 

Laura Kappler 13 votes           Jason Leavitt 11 votes         Julie Genualdi 2 votes 

All were in favor- motion passed. 

A motion was made by Dick Paul to accept new Police Officer Remoh Robert into the fund. Tom Ahlbeck seconded. All were in favor- motion passed. 

A motion was made by Dick Paul to offer annual renewals for retiree flex spending accounts for health insurance (pre-tax up to $3000 per year). Tom Ahlbeck seconded. All were in favor- motion passed. 

The board hired Actuary Tim Sharpe as the Park Ridge Police Pension Board Actuary. 

A motion to adjourn was made by Jon Moehrlin and was seconded by Dick Paul. All were in favor and the meeting was adjourned.
